Speed and distance training focuses on enhancing an athlete’s ability to cover greater distances more efficiently and at a faster pace. This type of training combines high-intensity sprints with steady-state endurance exercises to improve cardiovascular health, muscle strength, and stamina. By engaging in speed drills and long-distance runs, individuals can boost their aerobic capacity, improve running form, and build mental resilience. The benefits extend beyond athletic performance, supporting weight management, reducing the risk of chronic diseases, and promoting overall physical and mental well-being.
Hiit
High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is a workout method that alternates between short bursts of intense activity and periods of rest or lower-intensity exercise. This approach maximizes calorie burn in a shorter time, making it highly efficient for those with busy schedules.
HIIT improves cardiovascular health, boosts metabolism, and enhances muscular strength and endurance. The intense nature of the workout triggers the excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC) effect, allowing the body to burn calories even after the session ends.
Additionally, HIIT supports fat loss, increases aerobic and anaerobic fitness, and can be adapted to various fitness levels, making it a versatile and time-effective training option.

Senior Fitness
I continue to work on a daily basis with senior clients. With them I focus on maintaining and improving their health, strength, and mobility through age-appropriate exercises.
Activities I recommend, such as walking, strength training, yoga, and balance exercises are all tailored to enhance their flexibility, cardiovascular health, and muscle mass while reducing their risk of falls and chronic diseases. Regular physical activity in my senior clients promotes better joint health, boosts energy levels, and supports mental well-being by reducing stress and improving cognitive function.
By staying active, I find that my clients maintain their independence, improve their quality of life, and foster social connections in group fitness settings.
